Ya Gregg, I checked in on him also. Buried in long hours at work and still steaming about getting called "back" to work during archery season. At least he didn't defect to the island again. Heard he almost got in trouble there anyway. Something about putting trail cams on the beach. Not sure what he was trying to capture there :o. :)

Thanks for the concern guys! I guess I'm starting to get over that bitter pill. Got to hunt with Gregg, John and another new friend Paul for a couple days. The work deal is a long story and very very depressing to me. Long story short, the office made a horrible armchair knee jerk decision that sent my project (Hobbs Boys and Girls Club) into turmoil and basically cost me my Elkhunt. Waited 5 years for that tag too. I won't get into the details but since then I've been looking for another job and finally got hired by a great company on December 1. I told the other company to stick it thanksgiving week:) and it felt oh so good :) anyhow with a rutting mule deer hunt in a couple days it's time to forget about the lost opportunity of that elk hunt and move forward. Arrowing a giant mulie buck would go a long way in easing that pain lol.

David, there is so much wrong w that! So here's to having you back on the forum; hunting rutting bucks with a bow; and bigger, better things in 2015. You deserve it.

Funny you say that. I visited "Trophy Hills" this evening and got on a monster mulie just before dark and ran out of time. I'll be back to Trophy Hills tomorrow morning asap! Hope I can find him! These hills have had that nickname longer than I've had the screen name.
