Have you guys seen these? I just picked one up. I dont think I will use my havalon again! the blades on these slide in and out effortlessly without the need of pliers, and i dont see them breaking like the havalon blades due to the style of construction of the knife / blade holder. very very cool

Picked one up also... Didn't get to use it on big game but plan on using it a lot for waterfowl. I only with they put a side/pocket clip on it like the Havalon.

I also use fixed blade knives and I enjoy sharpening them. At home with a drink by a warm fire. Not when I'm in the middle of disassembling an animal in the darkening woods. That's where these things shine.

Like the looks of this one better than the Havalon but still not for me. I just like the heft and feel of a real knife in my hand. I bought a Havalon, have started to use it on a few critters and within 30 seconds I'm back to my Canadian Belt Knife. Just don't like the feel of the UL knives.

I agree I'm a fixed blade knife guy and make knives for part of my living. But, that said, the razor lite has a place in my kit. I like it for cutting thru the hide which can dull a knife really quickly, especially when the bull has been rolling in the mud. When I'm breaking down an elk I like to be quick and don't want to spend too much time retouching my blades. My kit includes one razor lite, one fixed blade, and one dmt red folding steel. I like orange handles on my hunting knives too. Here's one of mine that I made.

Norm, that bottom knife is sweet looking! Do they hold an edge well? That's the issue with most knives I find, they have a tough time holding a good edge even with no bone touched?

Paul, All knives need touching up now and then. My knives are made out of forged 52100 which is high carbon ball bearing steel. It holds an edge better than most but more importantly it's very easy to maintain an edge. That's the key. Before it feels dull take two or three laps on a diamond stone and it's razor sharp again. A lot of knives these days are made of super hard cpm steels. They do get very sharp but most guys can't sharpen them without special equipment. Plus most of them are brittle which is not good in a knife.
