Anybody ever swallowed or choked on a reed?

Postby gdoct » 09 30, 2014 •  [Post 1]

My brother, who is my hunting partner, was out calling for a friend. While calling, somehow he choked on his reed and his buddy (who was about 40 feet from him) saved his life with the heimlich manuever! Anybody ever had this happen, or heard of this happening?

Warning: Chuckling can be hazardous to your health and cause severe injury or death. Not to the bulls... to you!

Nope... can't say I've had that happen.

Wow! glad he's ok! Never heard of anyone choking on a reed before, guess there's always a chance though although very slim!

Wow! I run around with my diaphragm in my mouth all day. If it happened to me (hunting solo)...I guess I'd have to try to throw myself on a log. I'd probably miss, and break all my ribs! :(
