New Hunting Back pack

Postby Ghost » 09 26, 2014 •  [Post 1]

Thinking of getting a new hunting back pack for an upcoming elk hunt, looking for something around 3,500 ci, that I can strap a gun or bow too and have enough room to do a 3-4 day bivy. Any suggestions

its 4700 with the wings open and if you want to add the spike duffel its 7700 and if you add the super spike duffel its 8200. I don't have either duffel but with the wings open its WAY big.

i bought a used Mystery Ranch Dragon Slayer. pretty awesome pack in terms of comfort. i bet i could jog with it. it fits very narrow between my shoulder blades so shooting a bow is a non-issue. it is silent.

downsides: at 2300 it is a tad small. my dead animals have died within sight of my truck, so i havent had to pack out anything. when i do, i am not sure how i am gonna approach it. i guess i will let the "wings" wrap the meat and go around with the straps. dunno. if i were to go mystery ranch, i would do the same pack but with the NICE frame so the meat can go outside.

i love how the EXO is looking..and if i could get my wife to look the other way..i would jump on the wait list. haha.
