and I have to replace my bowstring and cables. Been shooting this Elite Hunter since February and got it tuned just like I want it. Shot a 3d shoot last week and scored my all-time best. Yesterday I was waxing the string to go shoot and found a few strands broken on my main string and another strand broken on one of the cables. About to head to our local bow shop in a bit and hope he can get a string overnighted for it, then will be shooting and tuning it again on Thursday morning. Leaving Thursday afternoon at 4 for Colorado, so I hope I can get it done in time. On the bright side, at least it did it here and not on top of the mountain.

Ouch is right. Make sure you take measurements of the positioning of all your components... nocks, peep etc.

Since we are the main factor for error once you get the bow tuned you shouldn't have to practice much since you already have yourself tuned.

Got a new string and cables on my bow, got it back from Adam at LSE Archery in Brookhaven, MS yesterday. He got the bow, overnighted a string and cables in, installed them and paper tuned it in less than 24 hours. I moved my sight down about a quarter inch, everything hitting as good as it was before. Took about 15 minutes once I got it. Can't say enough, he did a great job on it.
