Elk Season 2014

Postby Trophyhill » 08 27, 2014 •  [Post 1]

Just wanted to say thank all of you for keeping the elk talk alive with your experiences, questions and comments. I enjoy it during the off season. And to wish you all the best of luck! I'm off work tomorrow at 2, making the 5 hour drive home, loading the truck, getting a little sleep and heading out at 4 am to meet Gregg and a few others hopefully by 11 or noon Friday. Can't wait to get to the elkwoods! Go get em folks! Hope my Project Manager survives the onslaught while he fills in for me next week :)

Guess you will have to show up one day Rory and find out.
I will be out of the house by 5am Friday, setting camp by 7:30, on the river by 9am[so I can recieve David's call when he gets in range] and enjoy the day. Saturday it is off to work. My first field test with a Wapiti River Outdoors elk call. Thank you Travis and Shane for the perfect weapon.

Good luck David! I'll shoot you a text if I notch a tag! I've not shaven in months, but if I fill a tag, I'm gonna cut the beard off on the mountain with my Havalon!!!

Good luck to everyone on the forum. I'll miss CO opening day due to a family matter, but will still be on the mountain for most of the weekend. Can't wait to check the forum on Wednesday to see how many Elknuts have success over opening weekend. Thank you again for all your help and entertaining stories.
