the SE has gotten over 5 inches I believe everywhere Above the snake river plain from the mid section on north is getting it again tonight and tomorrow. Warmed up more than expected today 91 degrees, and folks were complaining about bad it felt, the humidity was high ( for us anyways  )
Im just happy a cool front is expected for the opener :D
as wet as it has been walking in the woods should be quiet

I checked, not too wet somewhere around the salmon area. still .7 inches above normal rain fall for the month. a little hot but saw that cold front coming. will be below normal temps when we get there...

Well for me in sw montucky its been above average for rain and I don't expect that area to be much different lotta green stuff around and more standing water it should be a harder season in the water aspect

Thanks guys for the input. Humidity by Idaho standards is probably different than MN standards  I have been watching my phone for weather reports and see that's it's been raining. I was just curious if it's been a wet summer and if water sources would be hard to come by for elk. Very minimal walking noise sure would be nice :)

Yes, been very wet the past few weeks. Can't imagine water sources would be limited at all. I was amazed how green the desert was on the way to set up camp last week.
