Postby ElkNut1 » 08 22, 2013 •  [Post 1]

Hey that Clipshot worked pretty darned slick the other day I was out scouting, I'll definitely have it in my pack for photos especially when alone or trying to get photos of my son & I over our elk using the Iphones timer, very cool item Lyn! Thanks!

It's a new piece that Lyn is working with for Iphones. I ordered it separately & with a couple more clipshots. I'm sure you can order just the suction cup piece too, it attaches to the regular clipshot & works perfectly! The 2 pieces together probably weighs 2 ounces.

Thanks Paul!
I'll bet most people will be surprised how well this particular suction cup holds.
All that is needed is a clean, dry, smooth surface and it will flat stick!

By itself, this little accessory adds about 8 grams of weight. (If my scale is accurate, total for a Clip-Shot + "Smart-Shot" = 1.3 oz.)

From the mixed feedback I got when presenting the topic "Digital Camera or Smart Phone?" on a number of forums, it looked like this may not be much of a hit. So, I just made a limited number of these last spring. Still have 30 or so.

If I run out, I''ll gladly make some more.
The material for the little bracket is Aluminum. I then have them anodized Black for protection.

It will easily hold my Canon FS100 video camera. Not sure what your Sony weighs, but
depending on what it is attached to, my Clip-Shot will easily hold 20 ounces.

I'm glad it is working out for you.

I became aware of something. Maybe someone with personal experience can verify this.

According to a couple reports I've heard, a program exists that can read the GPS data, (Date, Time, Location), embedded in photos taken with a smart phone. Just thinking...when taking photo's at your best kept secret hunting location, a person may want to disable this feature.

Lyn it's ExifWizard. Works really well. I will test sending pics to another smartphone to see if geo tag follows. Also I believe it is possible to send pic with geo tag info if that is what a persons intent is.

I will be ordering a clip shot with I-phone attachment this evening.

Was just gonna say I'm sure it's possible but not sure if I could do it or not lol. I will have to remember the tho and look into it more on my phone. Thanks for the heads up.

Received the Iphone attachment today. Cool little contraption, and...... "it works"! Thanks Lyn. Hopefully, I'll be able to get Bullwinkle to strike a pose so I can test it out properly in September. Thanks again. RJ
