Over 100 elk in the riverbottom

Postby Lefty » 08 12, 2014 •  [Post 1]

My wife and I took a long ( for us) road trip, 150 miles on the ATV, nearly 500 on the pickup, and plenty of miles on our legs
On our way we ran across this herd feeding in the field in the middle of the afternoon. I counted over 100 elk in the open that we could see from the road, and could a dozen more in the cover . Only a few bulls were out , most were still back in the trees. All in the valley floor of ranch country
If you want to guess, or know where the elk were please PM me.
