The power of the coupon !

Postby pointysticks » 08 12, 2014 •  [Post 1]

I needed a new truck camp stove. Good to have anyways living in earthquake land. I narrowed it down to the camp chef double burner. I actually wanted the single burner, but it cost the same! Found it on sale at Dick's. $99.99. I'm about to buy it and my wife pulls out some $10 card and a $20 off card. Wtf? Can I use both? The cashier said yes on any purchase over $100. I added a GU pack and got the stove for $70. Stunned!

I never pay attention to coupons. Glad my wife does. Anyone?

LOl.. I hear ya. My wife is the coupon queen. Last time she hooked me up.... Dicks. Same thing.. used two at the same time.

By the way.. you can't beat a Camp Chef. Never fails and tough as nails. I have their oven too which is pretty handy with 3 burners on top. Frozen pizza, baked chicken etc at base camp. Nice!

X2 on the camp chef. Have the same one you're getting sticks. Solid, solid elk camp tool. You'll like the double vs. the single burner for many reasons.

Oh, and yes, if I'm seriously interested in a piece of gear.... I sic my wife on it, she'll find the deals and pulls coupons out of the air, LOL.

Abosolutly!! Never buy anything without looking for it on sale and coupons or codes. Just bought a RCBS rock chucker supreme from brownells for $119 shipped to my door. Free shipping code EDL. Got the charge master 1500 combo from Bass Pro even though they wanted $380 for it . Called them up and they matched Cabelas sale price at $329 and I used 2-$50 gift cards that I would normally have a hard time using there. The cards were gifts so I could not complain. Paid $249 for it and will get a $50 rebate from rcbs.

If you guys who shop at Dick's, don't know, if you take their customer survey , they will e-mail you a $10 coupon. This can be done twice every 30 days. Just tell the clerk at checkout, you wish to take the survey. Takes about 3 or 4 minutes online. :D
