Hey everyone I was drawn for the 1st rifle elk hunt in Colorado this October and looking for some advise on getting an elk from Colorado back to New Hampshire if we are so lucky. We will be flying out and driving back. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I use two, 120 qt coolers from walmart. I add some ice and set on the back seat of the crewcab. Takes me 30 hours to get home from NM or AZ and never had a problem. Never had a need for dry ice, freezers, or any of that stuff. Been doing my NR hunts that way for almost 10 years now.

We bring a freezer and a generator. If we get a hotel on the way home run a cord through the window and good to go.
