Schrade Sharpfinger

Looking around for a couple of knives for skinning elk and deer. I know that with knives, you usually get what you pay for, but with that being said, i am generally a tight ass. The Schrade sharpfinger caught my eye, and just curious if anybody else has used one before, and if so, what do you think of it? Blade length is 3.3", and an overall length of 7". The steel is 7Cr17 high carbon stainless steel.

I've had one for years. Skinned a lot of critters with it. Easy knife to sharpen and you can get it scary sharp. Doesn't hold an edge the best but does ok. Blade will rust badly, need to keep a thin coat of oil on it . For the money a great knife.

Jmez, do you have one of the newer Chinese models, or the older original schrade?

Older. I got it in the late 80's.

My brother has one of the newer ones and has no complaints with it. Basically the same knife.
