Calling

For those of you that don't know I was on the pro staff for Hunter's Specialties for a bunch of years. I have a few calling titles under my belt and every year I offer my services to help people learn to be better callers. I am willing to do this one more time in June. Anybody interested? Lets set a date. No I do not charge, I don't sell calls. I work with you and your stuff to make you a better caller.

Seriously, if anybody wants to improve their calling skills, GS is the best I personally know for helping with instructions on the "how to do it". He has helped me out for past few years or so and has raised my game to a higher level. That, coupled with Elknut's teachings of elk language interpretation, is helping me become an elk nightmare....... 8-)

I'd like to donate some calls for your clinic. Of all the way's I can help all the great people on this forum I can think of no better way than to give out some elk reeds that will help people call in that trophy of a lifetime !!

So with 2 weeks to go I would like to get a feel for who is coming. Couple of points:
Small apartment bring a camp chair, we will squeeze in. We will grill after we are done so if you wish to bring something I will have hamburgers and hot dogs. So potato salad, buns and so on would be good. Parking will be out on the street but there is room.

I am in Arvada and I am a seasoned hunter/caller. I would love to bring my 15 year old son I am hoping that we will learn some new tricks so he can call my elk in for me and I am not always the one calling. So if you have room for 2 more we would love to join up. I am happy to bring some soda/beer or anything else you might want.

Just wanted to thank GSelkhunter again for hosting this gathering and appreciate meeting some elknuts from the forum. Also, Travis came through with some calls for everyone so much thanks!

I came away with many interesting tidbits and have some new things to practice . For me, watching someone produce some of the elk sounds i'm working on is much more beneficial than hearing an example or having someone explain....two more months til the season....i'll be bugling this year for sure. Thks again everyone!
