I decided to record myself drawing my omen after wapiti made the comment about drawing with out to much movement. from what I see, there isn't any excess movement. what do you guys see?

is it messed up when you bows draw weight is half your body weight????

I'll be honest, I was sore from shooting 50 shots through my omen and another 50 through the target bow. I couldn't hold a bow steady if I wanted when I took the videos.

I figured if I had any excess movement it would show when my muscles where dead tired.

the arrows had the slick trick grizztrick 2s on them.

I did the 80 lb thing for a couple years, only time I had an issue was at the end of 3d shoots and once after a belly crawl in snow for several hundred yards. I was looking back at my buddy in the trees for directions when the buck walked over a small rise right at me. I had him at 40 yards and for the life of me couldn't get it over the breaking point in the draw. I asked my buddy why he didn't tell me what was going on and he sad we didn't have a signal for "Oh crap here he comes!" Now I shoot 60lbs and shoot better, and penetration isn't an issue with my set up and have blown through a moose at 53 yards.

i recently tried to draw a 80# mathews monster and i couldnt do it. it was to long for me anyways, but i couldnt get it over the hump.

i could have fought it and won, but i risked injury. you make it look easy!! can you let down equally as smooth? i think this is important for a hunting rig as well. letting down on some of the new bows is problematic.

i love how your arrows appear to crush that target..

How does the bow hold at full draw Jeremy? I had an 82nd Airborne that literally wanted to go if I relaxed a little. Conversely my D350 just about holds itself back and I almost have to force it down when letting down.

Looks like a nice smooth draw to me. Shoot straight and have fun. Have you shot through paper to see how the arrow flight is ? That is why I end up shooting around 60-62 pounds as this is where my bows tune for a perfect bullet hole.

Arrow penetration comes from the arrow flying straight and true !! That has been proven over and over. I believe it doesn't matter if your shooting 40 lbs or 80 lbs a straight flying arrow is what we want. Of coarse at 80 lbs JJ will be shooting through an elk and anything behind that elk !! Even the scapula bone shouldn't have a chance which can be a very good thing as we have all hit high on elk !! At lease I have and the bull went a couple hundred yards. But if we hit them straight up the leg bone 1/3 up the body there is nothing there that will stop an arrow anyways.
