Muck boot

I'm a northeast deer hunter. We are packing in on a colorado elk hunt. 2 miles in about 9k elevation.
You guys talk alot about boots. My Mucks rock for walking all day up and down the hills of the Adirondaks and northern Maine.
Even Montana mule deer they served me well.
I absolutely love them. What to do about 3rd rifle season in colorado?
BTW first planned Elk hunt and I think I'm already addicted....ugh!

Everyone's feet are different but I think that is a really bad idea. Those boots aren't made for the mountains or packing and will not offer enough support on bad terrain. At 9000K you are likely going to get into some steep nasty stuff.

If your talking about the slip on Mucks, even though they are great here in Wisconsin, no way wouldI use them elk hunting.

You could probably use them part of the time. On a really wet day or something, but to hunt a week straight in them I think you would beat yourself up. I just used a pair turkey hunting in Idaho where the terrain was not as rugged as Colorado and they worked, but my feet were tired at the end of the day. They would make a great second pair of boots for a wet day.

Muck Boots are great in elk camp... for going outside at night to take a pee. lol Not enough ankle support for the real mountains.
