Single pin slider?

Postby Toby » 05 10, 2014 •  [Post 1]

For those of you who use a single pin slider bow sight, at what yardage do you usually have it set at? Elknuts response on another thread stating that his groups average shot distance was 22-23 yards got me thinking. I usually have mine set at 30 yards and adjust from there.

i really wrestled with this.

finally, i just compromised. i got a 3 pin with a slider. i figure for 90% of my shooting at animals, i can do the 20, 30, 40..i have gotten accustomed to. IF, i have to stretch it out, i hope since the animal is further away, i have time to move my sight.

fingers crossed.

i think a single pin would be the best accuracy wise, but i know me. i would mess it up in the heat of the moment.
