Help me choose a day pack

Postby Migolito » 05 10, 2014 •  [Post 1]

I'm changing some gear this year and could use a little advice. For my archery Deer hunting I like to hike in, set up a camp, and hunt from there. I usually use my Badlands 2200 as my pack in-pack out pack and my day pack. Because of how warm archery season is I can get away with a lot less gear and the 2200 works. This year however, I'll be doing my rifle hunting the same way. Since it's definitely colder during rifle hunts I'll be hauling in more gear. So, I'm switching to a haul frame pack and a smaller day pack. The 2200 is just too much pack for a daypack only that I will not be hauling meat in. I'm looking at the BL Stealth. I like the light weight and the size seems just about right. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of reviews. All rx are welcome.

can you wrap a water proof stuff sack into the wings of the 2200? i'm thinking just add capacity to your existing system.

You can go with a Stone Glacier or Kifaru pack. I use the SG put everything in the 5100 ci bag. Once camp is set remove the large bag and put on the 1800 ci bag. Takes a couple of minutes to swap out bag, use The I same frame and no real big weight penalty.
