Archery - Aiming at off pin distances

Assuming that your sight pins are set 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 and you have a shot at un pinned distance (lets say 45 yds.); how do you aim to make the shot?

A) I you use my 40 yard pin and aim a little high to compensate. I have a good idea of what the drop is in inches and I can estimate the inches at distance.
B) I frame the target spot between the forty and fifty yard pin.
C) Other.

I use a single pin slider, but don't slide it unless I have a lot of time at longer distances. I have it sighted in at 30 yards, it is about 5"s high at 20 yards and 10"s low at 40 yards. So, I aim high or low, depending on distance.

B. I split em and then look at where both my 40 and 50 are. I like my 40 in the high lungs and my 50 low heart.

i used to be an A.... i had a hard time using 5 pins because i'd always try lining up the pin in regards to my trajectory. i removed 3 and now have a 30 and trick. more a type B/C now and like to shoot with the pins as more of a reference or anchor. so usually the pin floats either above or below and is corroborated by my trick. when i did try and put the pin right on the target i'd get distracted and end up focusing on the pin.... consistency suffered. for me it works best when the pin isn't actually my focal point and more periphery.....

I feel like I kind of do both A and B. But more of a split b/c I do reference the pin below as well. I don't think I could do a hold over without acknowledging the pin below.

B for me. unless its within a yard or 2 of a pin, then i would just adjust the hight focusing on 1 of the pins

I think like otcwill. It gives me a 10 yrd window and I will still make a good shot on the Elk. If you get drawn on an elk and they move around a little your still good to go.
