practiced with the bow today

shot the bow today...... omg, I cant wait until the snow melts so I don't have to drive 20 miles to get some practice in. my arms were jelly after an hour of shooting and 40 yards seemed like a mile away, as I was shaking so bad. I didn't shoot much last year as we went to Colorado with muzzleloaders last year.

I hear ya, I don't get home till after dark so I don't shoot much in the winter. now I have the first leg of a triple 3D event coming up on the 15 of march and im trying to cram all the shooting I can in and my arms are feeling it today. im starting to my groups under 1" but after 50 shots im done.
from the looks of it outside right now I wont be shooting today, got 1/2" of snow in the last hr. calling for 3-4" total.

man..you cold climate guys are tough.

i am lucky enough to keep a tan year round..i dont shoot a lot..but i shoot a little bit all year round. i never really lose it. i dont go more than a couple weeks before putting a few new holes in my crappy black hole target..

hahaha. today is the first day it got into the 30's in a longggg time. we had 50 days this year where it didn't get higher that 0. I will be running a half marathon on the 15th.... the tread mill broke so I don't have enough training for it. I will survive though

My target range still has too much snow on it yet, hoping to get out within the next week or 2. This MN has been BRUTAL this year !!! I need to get out bad.....my arms will be like jelly after 30 shots

I got my veggies planted today. Shot insanely tiny groups at 60 yards today. Almost broke arrows. Best day ever.

I would say so! but, I was confused when you said that you got your veggies planted....

we would have plant the seeds in little cups around these parts this time of year.

I heard a rumor of that..... I just checked with my statie partners and we are in the 3 inch range for tomorrow.... I was supposed to go with the range with the wife today. but the flu bug going around our house lately took its final victim. my youngest spent all last night puking and didn't go to school today. so no practice today

I know, the first round at 30 wasn't all that great so I thought that I had nothing to worry about. but the wife called, so I got a little rest in between rounds.... a couple were actually resting right next to each other

You're lucky to shoot, I'm 6 weeks removed from left shoulder surgery, still can't pull my new Elite back without risking damage. Have to give it another 2 weeks at least.

shot again the last 2 days. it so happens that the range is on the way home from a wild land fire fighter certification class I am taking this week. I am glad that I have started shooting again now, instead of later.... yesterday at 20 yards, 5 arrows were touching out of 7! today, not so well, arms still felt fatigued after yesterday, and I didn't shoot for very long yesterday. lets see what tomorrow brings

I got another round into today, so that makes it 3 days in a row. there was only one other guy there today so I could actually get some good shooting in.... definitely had to stop and start focusing on my form... starting shooting ridiculously to the right and off in general. my kisser fell off too. I left it there to get a new string.

My rest fell apart tonight. Explains the bad shooting yesterday. Had spare rest that I installed. Had to start over at paper tuning. Wasn't happy.

Burnt up anger by running the fastest four miles in my life. I was passing skinny chicks. Haha.

I feel for the guys up north..... I wont be able to get my bow back until Thursday. shes getting a new string and I work through Wednesday.

got the bow back today. man, it shoots so much nicer now! the back wall is rock solid now, I don't feel like I have to make small adjustments to get everything lined up correctly. its just there.... my groups tightened back up, 3 arrows were routinely touching! and it seems faster. I am extremely happy! plus the string is a pretty orange and green

I went out last weekend and lobbed one at 40yds...hit about one inch to the right of the center of the spot.

Went and hung up the bow...figured I better quit while I'm ahead :lol:

I tend to practice more from my 50 and 60 yards and after I go pull my arrows s I'll just stop somewhere in between and shoot a set. So far it's really has helped judging my distances better.

Funny. I shot five arrows yesterday at. 20. Perfect shots so I put everything away.

Going turkey hunting Sunday. Didn't want to use up my good shots.
