4 Basic Calls for the Elk Hunter

Here are a few Basic calls you should master for Elk Hunting! Hope this Helps ----> Troy Glacier Country Hunting Calls

1.Herd Talk----> Cow and Calf calls... maybe a small bugle.
2.Location Bugle
3.Challenge Bugle
4. Nervous Bark or Nervous Grunt. Also it is good to know how to do this call with your voice!!

Thanks for the audio, Troy. Something to write down in the playbook to remind myself of the basic calls. How to use and when to use.
I have been working with quite a few of Troy's calls and feel like with this forums help, as well as Troys, I will be a much more proficient caller coming this fall.

Yes sir guys, that's what it's all about, trying to gear up mentally & physically for this years elk hunt, breaking things down to 4-5 sounds & mastering them will build your confidence level to not only know how to make the sounds but know what they mean & when to use them. At times it will be a single sound & other encounters may require 2-3 of these sounds to fit the situation you're in. Troy's an excellent caller & teacher!

Sometimes there is a tab that shows up on my screen that is highlighted and reads: QuickTime Player needs your permission to run
It may be at the top or bottom of your page. It has happened when I open the thread as well. Maybe this will help. Otherwise I am not sure what to do other than download the sounds itself.

Same here. I have a diagonal line across the play tab and no other options available to open the file. I'm really not liking apple products these days:(
