Was just wondering what everyone deems important enough to make it into your notes in the play book?

Very good question! We had those few blank pages added there for notes of importance so individual hunters could jot down things that they felt would pertain to their hunting styles & time of the rut stage they were hunting. For instance hunters could break it down such as this for their notes once PlayBook is read & they are familiar with its contents. Then they'd put notes as below with the page # so they could quick reference to it when needed or refresh their memories with such tactics during a noon time rest & siesta on the mtn.


Early Season Tactics --Little to no elk talking.

Cold Calling
Breeding Sequences
Advertising Sequences

Bulls Bugling Good & With Cows

Aggressive tactics
Cow calling as you run towards bull
Etc. The list goes on!

I have check out the video and well keep on going back. My biggest goal: learn to call this year. I have a 20 min. drive to work If I put in a call every day and watch the video, success will follow. The elk are there I just have to know what I'm talking about. I know, it work for turkey.
If I practice in the truck the wife won't move out.

The playbook is an excellent tool to have in your pack.I have lost count of how many I have purchased. I give them away to some of my hunting friends .They make great gifts . If you request and want it, Elknut will even sign it for you.I have a special copy that is tucked away.I was reading one on one of my flights to vegas and ended up giving that copy away to a lady sitting next to me. She said her boyfriend is an elk hunter and has hunted three years in Colorado and hasn't shot anything yet.I told her that there are no guarantees but she could have my copy to give to him.
