Hunting Tag Application Services

Does anyone use one of the hunting tag application services to help apply for elk or sheep tags? It seems like it would be useful, but I was wondering if anyone had some specific experience with any of them.

In Colorado ive just called the division of wildlife, I've been wanting to add Wyoming to my list. And considering using Indian Summers Headin West Hunt Consulting their.

May want to throw up what state your interest is in.

Huntin' Fool, United States Outfitters as well as Cabelas Tags all do app services for every species. USO actually puts up the cash for you in states where they require the money up front which is nice... BUT, you have to book with one of their outfitters if you draw.

As far as letting them pick the units.. you can figure that out on your own with a little searching. It's not like looking at hundreds of units as with elk or deer.

If I was just looking for trophy quality for Elk I would start buying points in Wyoming. They go on sale in July. Would also buy points in Colorado, you can apply for them till April 1.

Do a search for cabelas tags and they will send you a (Dream) catalog, it's pretty neat.

I found another tag application service that looks a lot more affordable than Cabela's or the others - North American Game Tags (www.nagametags.com). I might give them try.
