Welcome to "the" elk forum Tim! Glad to have you on board. Pull up a log by the fire, your beverage of choice, and chime in to the fireside conversation. Keep a watchfull eye out for the one they call "Swede". If he's not present at the fire, look to the skies. Sometimes he sits in his treestand, 30+ feet up in the forest canopy, and throws things at the fire. Not sure why, but he thinks it's funny

Don't worry Tim. I am just trying to keep RJ from getting out of hand. He needs to be kept under a watchful eye. Anyway, welcome to camp. Pull up a block of wood and pour yourself a cup of coffee. Once you get to know the characters here you will determine they are all great. Indian Summer has made camp a part of his life so long, I see is referring to it as "home". I am close to that point, but I have never been a hunting guide, so I have a little ways to go. If RJ starts feeding you a line, throw a few green Cedar boughs on the fire. There is a pile of them out behind the sleeping tent. By the time RJ quits coughing and rubbing his eyes, he has forgotten what he had been up to. Anyway, make yourself at "home". Oops, maybe what Indian Summer has is contagious.

Swede, I have become a dedicated treestand hunter over the past five or six years for both deer and elk. In the beginning it was almost impossible for me to sit more than a couple hours. I have learned that stand hunting is very productive and now can sit for many hours. How do I get my hands on your book?
