Video of Nervous Grunt to stop an elk?

I would be interested in seeing a video which shows a hunter using a nervous grunt to stop an elk for a shot, does anybody know if one exists? A search of Google and Youtube turned up zero results.

Also, has anyone used a nervous grunt on an bull which caused the elk to move and show himself. I would be interested in seeing a video of that also.

Next to location bugles, the nervous grunt is my mostly used call. Sure, an elk could change their position for a better look. But remember the defination, nervous grunt is an elks attempt to get a visual or audio identification to a noise or sighting they just experienced. I don't consider it a "come here" type call. Yes, elk will approach a caller after hearing a nervous grunt but it's only curiousity that brings them in.

Here is an Audio clip I took of my wife's bull Elk, this was Opening day of the Montana Rifle season 2013. The audio is recorded on my iphone from a computer video clip. The video clip was too long to post here so I had to abort that mission! You will at least be able to hear the sounds of the hunt, as they happened. It does sound even better if you wear ear buds or headphones. I did a nervous grunt combined with a bugle to ASK him to come to me. I do some other bugles and rake a tree as well. He came to 50 yards. She shoots him, he went probably went 50 or 60 yards before going down. This is a public land hunt and I promise this bull has heard every kind of call on the market! I almost got him two weekends before with my bow.I left as 6 different guys were hunting him that day! I am sure there were guys cussing " those Idiots" for bugling so much... that is until her rifle shot the bull!!
I wonder how many guys snuck in to see us taking pictures of her bull??

Garrett, in the past we rarely ever videoed or even took photos of the elk we had killed. In the last couple of years we've dabbled in the video arena but nothing serious so we do not have any real footage to speak of of our hunts although we've taken countless elk with the nervous/popping grunt. We've stopped or turned elk that were completely out of view back to us with the nervous grunt as the elk second guessed themselves as to what they didn't see (heard) or a movement they were suspicious of at first. Many of these were voice grunts. We also mess with a variety of other voiced bull sounds & various cow sounds with our voice, you just never know when you may be caught with out a reed in ones mouth so you have to improvise quickly! (grin)

Practicing these voice sounds at home will build your confidence to use them in the field.

Completely agreed but I will warn...any type of practice with the calling will get some REALLY funny looks from your wife, kids, dog, neighbors, mail lady (Yes...the mail lady was giving me the stink eye as I was running up the street with my bow, doing cow calls), and my most recent one...while at a stop light, the people next to me must have thought I was insane! I was REALLY ON that day with my calls, approached a stop light, looked over and the girls in the car next to me were laughing their rear ends off.

Now THAT is funny!! Running up the street with your bow doing cow calls? And then the car incident? I can't stop laughing!!
