when is the NM big game draw?

i looked that darn confusing game proclamation over. my head hurts.

the actual draw date isnt set in stone right? sometime in June at the lastest? i do this every year and i seem to remember extreme disappointment and sorrow every june. either my dog dies every summer, or i dont win a tag..kind of foggy.

i am only asking because my buddy told me it was in march this year. i think he is confused...deadline is in march. draw is ...dunno. june?

Hi pointysticks. The NM draw deadline and result dates have shifted a lot over the past couple of years, hence the confusion. I'm looking at the regs right now: the draw deadline to put in for elk (and most other big game) is March 19, and results are available April 1. So you have about a month til the deadline. Hope this helps!

I have the book right in front of me. You can BUY the various OTC licenses on the 1st of April but the big game draw results don't come out until the 23rd of April. Just get that app in by the 19th of next month!
