Topo over Aerial view

Postby DMiller6868 » 02 18, 2014 •  [Post 1]

Thought you guys might appreciate this link. A guy posted it up on Archerytalk. If you continue to zoom in you will get an automatic topo over your aerial view. Quite helpful for some looking to do some quick internet scouting.

Thanks, Dave. This looks like a very useful map service. I just added it to my favorites.

Is there a way to come in on a preferred map starting point? I am still trying to figure out the new toy.

Upper right, click search and a red lined search bar pops up on top. I typed in Mount Rainier, WA. There is a few options to the right (List, Search and Mark, Search). I used search and it zoomed right in to the frosty mountain. I'm gonna play around more with this new map tool later myself.

Hello everyone and thanks to DMiller for starting this thread.
I am the OP on that archery thread.

@Swede - Yup, you can make the map open anywhere you want.
1. Make the map look on your screen the way you want it to look
2. Click Menu ==> Link to this map
The link that is displayed will replicate the map you see on your screen.
