New member intro

Postby riverbeav » 02 15, 2014 •  [Post 1]

Hi guys,
I have been a lurker for about a year and a half, and I would like to thank all of you for sharing information that has helped me become a better archery elk hunter. I recently bought all of Elknut’s DVDs, and it is amazing to finally understand why I have struggled in some situations in the past. This will be my third season hunting elk here in Oregon, and I can’t wait to use the tools I have recently gained.

Matt, it is good to have another Oregonian here. Absolutely join in the conversation. There is no need to be a lurker when you can be a participant. You might keep your eyes open as there are some fellows, especially a few from Colorado that try to harass us. :D

Howdy Matt - Welcome
I would never think of harassing on Oregonian.
Well, maybe only one, and just because we share Scandinavian heritage :)

Welcome, from a flatlander noob, do tell us some what not to do's for us elk hunting virgins.

Please ask questions as I think these guys are tired of me, I really think it’s my accent though.

I really love what I see out of the community so far. Thanks for all the insight already. I hope to one day become a value added member, but for now I will serve as the parasite. I am a seasoned Bird hunter and fly fisherman, but brand new to archery and big game hunting. I have poured over everything I can find for the last few months and can't wait to get boots on the ground and start scouting. I live in Central Oregon and have access to some pretty amazing country, I just need to get out and take advantage.

It is good to welcome another elknut to camp. There is always plenty of room around this camp fire. Just watch out for the shenanigans of Phanton16 and cnelk.
