With the Sport Shows going on anyone seeing any new gagets (gear) out there.


The Eastern Sport Show was recent, did not make it this year. I did hear they were changing their name.

I just attended the NABA Show in Reno, had a booth there. Got to meet Travis from Wapiti River Calls...a fellow Elknut Sponsor and a great guy.

This thing is new. These guys at QQ Archery got a Patent on it, nice folks. I would never use it, but I'm sure there are some that might. It is a telescoping rest that allows you to rest your bow in shooting position, it mounts on a slider extension off the riser:

I didn't really get to cruise around much (stuck in the booth). Seems there are more than a few products that were filming related, with bow mounted adaptors and such (illegal in some States)!

Haven't been to any shows. I kind of got burned out on them from working there.

I made a device like that once. A leg that screwed into my stabilizer hole. It might sound good in theory but it didn't work well at all. The height is very critical and changes a lot depending on whether you are shooting level to your target or up/downhill. Also, since the ground becomes a pivot point, any time you lean forward and move the position of the bow forward it pivots and you are now aiming downhill. Pull the bow toward you even the slightest bit and you're aiming more uphill.

One of the handiest gadgets I picked up was the Van Handle Death Grip. The only truly torque free bow handle. It's bulky in your hand for sure but it has shrunk my groups and eliminated "the one that got away" out of each 5 or 10 shots.

We always enjoyed the shows, especially when we were looking for a new bow or gear, and meeting some of the tv personalities.
I think someone will always try to invent the perfect bow holder, still watching for that.
IS you didn't have a booth at the Great American Outdoor Show In Harrisburg?

No sir. I did that show for 12 years though as an outfitter. Now with the hunt consulting I'm not looking for that many hunters so no need to do mass marketing like that.
