I don't think I will be needing one of those where I hunt.
I saw several timber fallers coming out of a cutting unit in the Seattle watershed many years ago. They were all packing buckets. It was Spring time, so I asked "what are the buckets for." I was told that they were portable toilets, required by all off road workers. A quick glance revealed that all of the buckets were perfectly clean. I never uttered a word, but one of the cutters stated, "no one has said we can't wash them out in the creek," just as they walked off.

OK I'll kick it off! "What a bunch of $h-t! Maybe I'll buy 3 of the Fudge Pounders just in case I get giardia. On second thought, I know a guy that always has a $h-t eat'n grin. Maybe if I take him along I could save a bunch of money.

I heard in the heavily used national parks in the "far west" that you have to bring out EVERYTHING. Hikers draw cards to see which day they have to carry the "doody" box. (By the way, you want day 1)

Other than the fact that I find the whole thing utterly ridiculous, I thought the website was pretty funny. My wife wasn't quite sure what to think when I was laughing out loud; she asked what I was laughing at and I told her. She shakes her head alot.

In the Bull Run watershed out of Portland they used to do a little horse logging. The Forest Service required the horses to wear diapers. I don't know where the loggers cleaned out the diapers. Hopefully not in the creeks.

I don't get the part where they forgot that humans are animals too. Everything can $h1t in the woods but us. WTF!

Years back at a Forest Service/Outfitter meeting they said: Now don't get all worked up because we don't know if it will pass but there's a proposal now that will require you guys to pack all of your "horse droppings" out of the mountains. We howled. I raised my hand and asked... do you guys know the average weight of a horse bowel movement? How about how many bowel movements they make in a day? Take the weight times the number per day and multiply that by the number of days we are in there and pretty soon you'll realize that you'll have to either send a twin prop helicopter or let us drive those septic tank cleanout trucks up the mountain to even think of getting it out of there. It's amazing how those government employees can keep a straight face when they "dump their crap" on us.

I crack up when I read some of the radical "leave no trace" forums where they talk about hauling out their poo. Some of those greenies are total zealots. But in some popular wilderness areas near the popular campsites, wads of TP are a real problem. I don't understand why some women need to use half a roll, then leave it uncovered in a big wad? Sheryl Crow says we only need to use one square of TP per "session" to save the earth.

That said: a couple years ago I was hunting in the middle of nowhere, a couple miles from the road and deep in the woods. I prepared to squat on a perfect-looking log, started kicking-out a cat hole in the duff, and damned if I didn't kick up some fairly fresh TP. Didn't go any deeper than that. I guess somebody else thought that was also a "perfect log".
