Iowa newbie in Elk country....

I have been going to Wyoming the last several years for antelope and one mule deer hunt. I figured it is time to cut teeth on elk as well. I am building points, but decided to put in for cow tag this year in combination with a limited mule deer buck hunt. I am looking forward to this hunt! Hunting West has always been a blast......I figured if I can kill mature whitetails, I might stand a good chance at elk.

At ant rate, figured I would check in! Currently 43....so I figured I would start building points and go from there!

Watch elknuts dvds and you'll be just fine this year.I wish I would have known about them before my first year. Good luck hunting this year.

Gonna elk hunt with rifle. Probably do cow elk, mule deer buck and antelope this trip......looking forward to a multi species hunt!!!
