Anyway here is another approach to using GE to map scout. In this example I'm using the 3D (tilt and pan), along with a GPSVisualizer, and CO BLM overlays to map scout an area.

This is near where I took my elk this year on an RFW ranch near Craig, CO. Can anyone figure out where the elk were hanging out around noon when we found them? We actually found two herds within a mile of each other right after lunch. They were not bedded down, but grazing. This was during 1st rifle.

Were those elk anywhere near that little green marking (peak) in the upper left quadrant?

I would be interested in knowing how to do those overlays to GE as well. That would be very helpful.

As far as answering your question I like the small north facing patch of timber just north and east of the mountain top indicator that Jeff points to as well. I also like the long ridge at the top just north of the ridge separating the lower angled slope above 34. I would sidehill this ridge on the North side about 200 yards below the ridge moving West in the AM and east in the PM so as to keep the sun behind me if possible. Another area of interest would be 1000 yards away from those water holes.
