Got Batteries?

What do you cats carry that is battery powered into the elk woods? Which of these items do you feel give you a measurable edge in your yearly quest and why?

My range finder and I carry an extra battery for that. My cell phone which I use the sat map through out the day so no need for a garmin !!

That's about all for electronics and batteries other than a flashlight and extra bats !!

Lot's of water to recharge my body batteries !! So I can keep pushing the limits !!

All of them utilize AAA batteries so I don't have to carry the extra weight. I carry 8 spares, enough to swap out new batteries on two of the above pieces. If it came down to it, I'd pick the SPOT and Headlamp to get fresh power.

Flashlight and GPS here. Flashlight is more important. It gets me in the brush early and out late. Not to mention camp chores and other things.

GPS is a great tool. But I hunted many years without one and learned the map and compass well. I suppose I could do just fine without it now. But it is a handy little thing.

I carry four spare AA batteries in my pack

The inreach lasts over 100 hours on a single charge even sending location updates every 20 minutes. Over a week if I turn it off at night and only send dily status messages a couple times a day.

I carry spare bats for the flash light and GPS.

GPS - Must have for the use of an alarm.
Headlamp - Didnt get much use.
Backup Hand light - more use in the morning and evening around camp.
Used a spot transmitter for the first time last year as well.
And my camera. All ran on Lithium Batteries and lasted 14 days of hunting.

Safety reason with the light when cooking in the dark and when an animal is down. SPOT-safety again. Without the GPS I am not sure how I could wake myself up every morning. Camera - Capturing the special moments of the hunt.

GPS, headlamp, mini mag flash light, phone, spot devise, and camera. Why? Because I just can't leave home without any of it....now I will get flamed for saying it...

I use Lithium for the weight savings and battery life, I'm not sure why I carry spares for either because I've never needed them
