Anaconda-Pintlar Wilderness??

Postby Olydog09 » 12 20, 2013 •  [Post 1]

I am researching some archery elk hunting spots in Mt, and was wondering if anyone has experience with this area. Thanks ahead.

Lots of good hunting in there. I have been in there once and plan on going back this fall . Some pretty rugged terrain so with 2 bionic knees I plan on hiring a packer.

I could be mistaken, however from my research there are no " legal packers" available for that wilderness because there's no outfitters that have a license for that area. However, there are sometimes cowboys who offer there services " under the table". Just what I found last year after researching the same thing after I broke my foot a few weeks before my hunt there. It's definitely a rugged area!
