Minus33 Merino Light weight base wear

Postby SilverDollars » 12 11, 2013 •  [Post 1]

Howdy. Does anyone have any experience with Minus33 Merino base wear(Men's lightweight 1/4 length zip top and similar light weight bottoms)? I'm interested in some new Merino base wear and these look right and the price is good too. I can get them for around $50 - 54 respectively.

I have the Minus 33 boxer briefs I used for the early season. I was able to find a really good sale on them and wish I would have bought more. They didn't irritate me nearly as much as my other merino bottoms. Only experience I have with them.

Jim, have you looked into the merino wool camofire offers? It's darned good stuff, I own about every piece they offer & have used it for couple of years now!

I don't have the Merino from Core4Element but I do have their Element Pants and Element Jacket. I really like the C4E stuff. THe Element jacket is bar none my favorite early season elk hunting jacket. It is light with just enough warmth to get thru the morning chill. Has the venting zippers and the pocket layout is awesome. I love using the small pocket on the left forearm to house my mouth reeds. I just gave my Element pants to my hunting partner as he cant really afford newer gear and has been wearing some torn up old saddlecloth pants the last couple years. They were a little long for my midget legs. Camofire has the Highline pants which are a cross between the Element and Switchbackpants. A little lighter weight and more athletic cut I believe. Also the leg openings do not have zippers so I can get them tailored to fit me.

Sorry for the Hi-Jack. On point I just purchased the Russell APX Merino top from Cabelas for $27.00. I am not sure if they have any left but it was a great deal. Worth a look into to see if they are still available. Make sure you size up as they run small.
