new addition to the bow family (no not another kid)

my wife just got this last night. it was supposed to her Christmas present but the surprise got ruined. but the look on her face was priceless. its a sweet bow. I really like it. Im going to set it up for me one of these days . it goes to a 30" draw and 60 lbs I shot it at her dl of 26 and was impressed. I cant wait to see what it does maxed out. its a pse premonition.

Very nice. Too bad it only goes down to 24.5 DL. I have a 24dl. I may buy a backup bow next year. If only my arms grew another half inch, I would fit so many more bows.

Loved to hear what she thinks of it even if I can't shoot it.

At least, other new 2014 bows go down to 24dl. Elite spirit looks impressive.

as of now she still getting use to it. she says she likes the draw cycle, back wall but shes not use to the the bow wanting to take off when she relaxes. its not like her pse chaos she could relax and with a single cam it didn't want to take off as bad. with the dual cam bow its different for her. she needs to hold it back against the wall a little more than before. overall she likes the bow and is very pleased with it.

shes shooting great groups at 20yds now im just waiting for a new rest to come so I can fine tune her bow and get her shooting like I know she can. she has two robin hoods with her old bow. I almost had a robin hood with her bow the other night when I was playing with it.

bow creep is the word I was looking for.

Very impressive. She is doing far better than I did when I started out 4 years ago.

Bow creep: short valley I think is the term that makes bow creep more likely. I also had this when I wasn't using a solid anchor point. I had extremely poor form when I switched from RH to LH. I eventually went to an archery coach because it was really bad. I did not have the problem with my old RH bow.

My Jewel is top heavy so the lunging forward is an issue. It may benefit from a Stockerized SS1 to balance it better. I also mistakenly had my sling too loose and caused my bow's taking off to damage my shoulder.

On January 1st, I tore 2 tendons in my bow arm shoulder. I tore my bicep and rotator cuff tendons that attach to the shoulder. 10 months after the injury, I still have slight tears.

I shortened my sling (reduced distance of bow tipping forward on release), made a better anchor point (bow creep solved) and continued to do my physical therapy exercises to strengthen both shoulders' muscles. I am toying with adding the Stockerized SS1 to reduce the bow's extreme forward tipping motion. It would put weight back and on the opposite side of the quiver and sight (MBG on 4" dovetail).

She may want to do something to prevent injury if the bow is taking off. It takes a long time for tendons to heal.

thanks for the heads up! I have a day off tomorrow and will finally be able to watch her shot and see if there is anything I can do to help with this problem. she getting some accessories for this bow for Christmas she doesn't know what they are but she soon will. ill look into the stab you mentioned ive got a couple others in mind as well. I have a few different stabilizer weights to play with and add to almost any stab. again thanks for the heads up I will talk to her and see what and where she feels things need to change.
