where are all the cows

second year hunting out here and I havnt seen a cow yet. tons of cow poop, ive saw 9 bulls (including spikes) but not a single cow. someone scare one over my way please.

The more time you spend in the elk woods the chances go up that you will see a cow...

lol, now that's true, but after 9 days so far this year an 6 last year you woulda thought I woulda bumped into one by accident

This is my 4th season. Before this season, I only saw and heard them outside legal hunting hours while walking in.

On the 2nd day of this season, I bumped into one at 16 yards below me. I also saw her pals above me at 40 yards making a break for it. I apparently was in the middle of them unprepared. That was my first known encounter with cows during legal hunting hours. Obviously, I am not very stealth like in the woods.
