7 Bugling Bulls!

Postby ElkNut1 » 09 07, 2013 •  [Post 1]

We heard more than 7 bulls bugling yesterday but no arrows flew! (grin) My son & I counted 7 different bulls that we actually saw & filmed several of them. We had a spike & a 5- point to bowrange. (twice this year now) Had a nice 6-Point to 100yds as we slipped in on him & watched several other nice bulls that were all bugling well for Sept 6th! We covered aprox 12 foot miles from daylight to right near dark but had a great day! It's just a matter of time! (grin)

I hope everyone is having a great year & time out there, there's nothing like bugling bulls! (grin)

It's a great day when you can still hear those bugles in your head at night huh Paul. You're just a step behind them and it's early. Just a matter of time, and sweat. (grin) Things seem to be off to a running start everywhere this year. Imagine in another week! Good luck to you & the boys!

Nice Paul! We had 6 bugling tonight just before dark. I called in a 340-360 for a friend this morning to 15 yards by raking then challenged him with a very aggressive bugle and hard hitting grunts. He came running in. He was peeing all over himself and blew snot to clear his airway! I'm having the season of my life. I can only do so much. My friend failed to move for a clear shot. I held that bull there for about 10 minutes.

Very nice Paul! Bulls are just starting to bugle in my area, but are still running in bachelor groups for the most part. I've seen one bull with cows so far and he was a small one. I'm sure he'll get a pounding in the next day or so and a big 'un will take his place.

Heard one bull on Saturday & none on Sunday it a different area. Talked with others that were hearing plenty of bugles, you just have to be where the elk are! (grin)

Sounds like others are starting to notice that things are picking up, good luck all!!

Dave (Trophyill) yes you are having a great year dude, keep it up bud!
