Which Slick Trick?

Getting ready to head out to colorado for my first elk hunt. I've shot both the standard trick and the razor trick and they booth shoot alongside field points out to 60 yards. Given I have both, what would you recommend going with? I'm assuming either one will be fine but thought I'd ask since I need to pick one or the other.

My setup is shooting 290 fps with 410g victory vaps, foc is around 17%.

Haven't shot the Razor Tricks but am shooting the Standard Slick Tricks this year. I have total confidence in the head. I used Viper Tricks last year with great results. These Tricks are some of the sharpest heads out of the package I've seen, great heads in my book!

I switched to standard trucks this year. I've shot one head into a broadhead target about two hundred times and it is still sharp enough to cut you. Great head

Thanks guys, yes, I've done some further reading on the subject and think I'll be going with the standards. More durable and very similar penetration from all the reports I've seen.

My partner and I have killed quite a few elk with ST mags and starting 2 years ago, standards. I prefer the increased penetration and slightly better long range accuracy of the standard head. I hear that the Viper Tricks penetrate even better but I have no reason to change at this point.

Marc, I change broadheads like people change their shorts! (grin) I try & use everything I can to see the pros & cons of them because I receive so many emails & phone calls about what heads to use on their elk hunts so I like having 1st hand experience with the many heads out there so I can share an honest evaluation. The Viper Trick is tough as nails & holds an edge better than nearly any brand. If you're using the Vipers this year you'll love them! (grin)

Thanks for the explanation. I can understand why you change your shorts, I mean broadheads so often . I am always reluctant to change when I already have something working so well, hence my question to you. I also find it kind of odd that Slicktrick is not a forum sponsor as of yet.
