Yikes A hot weekend

100 degrees, gonna be a tough hunt this weekend already an extra 5 gallons of water each is being packed along. Im all excited, but Im not looking forward to the hot late afternoons.

I can't help but think sitting a good water source most of the afternoon would be the best plan. The guys sitting in trees have to be foaming at the mouth. My other thought is most other hunters won't hike to far if they even leave camp and the cooler full of ice and drinks. Good luck!!

Will you let us know how hot it gets in the blind? Im guessing 130ish in there.. Water should definitely be a good bet. That is what I am betting on anyways..

I should take a thermometer

In years past Im am just a few degrees over the outside temp,.. but Im shaded, If there is a breeze I would guess Im the same temp. My blind has a bit of an overhang. This year I placed brush over the top to provide some shade.
But from what Ive seen in the past the open county elk stay put till the sun is low .

This hot weather can kiss my ass...

I'll be out chasing mulies around for 3-4 days and have to carry all my water in.

Im hauling in a lot of water for two of us( I shower daily) about 25 gallons of ice , 6 gallons of cold drinking water, and 55 gallons to shower, clean etc
