I just talked to Paul this morning about picking up a few new calls and he asked me what my handle was and I couldn't remember if I had one so here goes maybe my first post on here. I am from NC and took up elk hunting 3 years ago with a guided hunt NM(unsuccessful). Last year I got my first elk(a cow) on DIY archery hunt in CO. Going back to CO 9/8-9/16 for elk. Last year I was in great shape for hunt but was still fairly uneducated regarding elk sounds and how to respond. Got into several bulls but didn't really know how to talk to them. Was happy to get a cow. My goal this year was to learn elk sounds and thanks to Paul's DVD's I feel much more knowledgable and my calling is much improved.

Can't wait to take what I have learned to the mountains and see if I can bring home another elk. I wanted to say thanks to Paul and all the posters on here as most of what I have learned so far has come from you all. I will let you know after my hunt how I did.
