Just went through the camo box!

Wow. I had no idea I had so much camo! Between me and the 3 kids we have over 20 pairs of pants, 25 shirts, coats, gloves, rain gear, hoodies...all kinds of stuff. I don't even remember buying half this stuff but it's amazing how it accumulates. It'll be the last season for a lot of the kids' clothes since they're growing so fast, so I'll have a ton of stuff to give away after this season. If you're in S. Colorado and have a youngster who will need some stuff for next year let me know. I'd rather give it to a budding bowhunter than to the thrift store.

Great Idea. I pass my sons camo on to a friends boys. Most of the time they are like new because they grow so fast.

Yep, some of this stuff looks like it should have tags on it still, and those were passed down from my oldest to the youngest already. I gave about 5 pairs of boots away last year because their feet seem to grow faster than their bodies, and this year it'll be the rest of the stuff. Most of it is sized 18, or youth XX, both in pants and shirts so if you know anyone who needs stuff, I'd be happy to get it to you in October.

For those of you who haven't had the privilege of meeting Bullnuts (Bill) , he is a mountain of a man, outstanding archer & general great guy! I,m relative shure, if you needed a little help with a pack out, Bill could throw a half elk over his shoulders & head to the truck like he was taking a bag of groceries from Walmart to the house. Although, he didn't jump in to help me drag my first Tx hog to the truck. Of course there were 4 other "buddies" who completely enjoyed watching we sweat my Azzeroo off also.... Speaking of Texas hog hunts....we definitely need to start that up again!

I'm pretty sure I did help with the blood trail on that pig, though, Dave, and it's not like we weren't 100 feet from the road!

Having 3 boys I know how hard it is to get them equipped to go hunting. Even if you're buying the cheap stuff and you're buying only a couple sets, you can drop a hundred and a half getting them fixed up. I'm not made of money and I don't have too many friends who are either so it's nice when I'm able to pass on some stuff that my boys won't be able to wear again to someone who will put it to good use. And as long as it remains useable, they can pass it on again when they're done. It's definitely better than throwing it away, and if we can keep the stuff in our hunting fraternity it'll be used for its intended purpose.

I know this is an older thread but wanted to say that as a father of two I got a kick out of reading this. I was just talking to a colleague today about how my son has already outgrown his boots we got him last Christmas. He also retired a pair of pants and a shirt this year as well, those got handed down to my daughter.

Looks like Santa will be bringing more hunting clothing this year. I need to learn how to sew so I can get him everything a few sizes too big.
