my pack isnt shipping on time. no amount of begging or guilt trip is gonna scoot the ship date forward :) (and with my mom.i KNOW guilt trips :))

i am pretty much packed except for the food. i am hiking up with short and a cool max t-shirt. extra pair of socks and boxers..then my camo gear is inside, not getting stunk up with sweat and tears.. i need to go over my gear list, but i think i got it.

without food and water..and i am wearing my binos..my pack is exactly at 30lbs!! i am stoked. the first time i did this, i went up with 70lbs. hahaha..boy has my gear gotten lighter. i am hiking up a canyon right next to a running stream, so i can go light with water. just need to keep my pump somewhere close so i can reach it.

food and water, and my binos..i bet i am going up with less than 45. (plus all the stuff i have forgotten so far)

man, i need my hunting pack. this pack is pretty good. it is a 3500c.i. gregory. super light..doesnt fit me all that great, but i wont die with this load up. if i kill something..i am screwed. i am taking some tyvek and water proof lightweight bag to strap stuff to the outside. it wont be fun!! i wont cry if i get skunked :D

i'll probably put the meat inside since the sleeping bag and clothing will be easier to strap to the outside.

Oops pics. the second pic is my crappy homemade cover for my bow. part of our permit to walk across a national park is we promise to keep out bows covered so we dont offend the folks while they hug the trees..(as we hike by) also why i wont hike wearing camo.

i have been trying to get FHF gear to make me a bow "pouch" that will strap onto my pack. i might make one myself.
