Seeing any rubs from this year yet???? I came across this yesterday and snapped a quick picture. Definitely this year's rub. I actually looked the tree up and down for any sign of hair thinking maybe it wasn't actually an elk rub even though it looked the part. Finally found a single strand of elk hair. Ended up seeing 15 elk yesterday in half a day's scouting. Cool evening last night and the meadows came alive. One good 6 point and others were over a mile and a half away. Couldn't tell what they were but at least 6 of the elk I spotted were bulls.

Eeeexcellent! Not yet, all I've seen so far are last year's rubs . . . evidenced by this year's trail cam pics of only cows running through my main areas so far.
Seen a few buck "starter rubs" which is always fun, even though I don't usually hunt my elk area for deer . . .

Man, i haven't seen a single one yet! Spooked some out of a wallow Sunday though, which was cool to see! Good luck this season Pok!

I took a picture of a year old rub just for the doubters....but it doesn't seem there were any . And boy what a rub it was. I'm ready!
