X Marks the Spot Series 3

Third series. OK, the stars have aligned and you find youself within 30ish yards of these beasts while bow hunting. You have the wind, and, to this point the bull(s) are unaware of your prescence. You've came to full draw. Now, do you shoot or wait? If you shoot place and "X" on the spot you pick to shoot or simply say wait for a better shot.

If you save the picture to your desktop and open them up with paint or a similar program, you can place an X, O, or whatever showing where you would shoot.. Then, respond to thread with your comments, and, add your adjusted image(s).

Shoot or wait for these elk please. RJ

Not comfortable with the angle on the cow, and I can't see any way to kill the bull facing steeply away.

should be able to take out one lung maybe two, take out the liver, puncture the diaphragm. looks like im busted and cant move until she turns her head at least.

contest number 3 is a little more intriguing....
1. you know that I aint never seen before. It is doable but only if the arrow gets fully buried. I'm hesitant.....
maybe too cautious....I think I'll wait to make something better happen. I have got time and the wind.
2. this one is the most common shot opportunity that I have seen. It is not that easy a slam dunk decision to shoot that one either. Alot of guys that take that shot dont tuck it tight enough in the elbow, are only going to get one lung, and trouble is eminent.
3. no way.

2/3 no way. Same for #1 as I have seen a similar shot on a whitetail deflect off the rib cage and an elk rib cage is way tougher than a whitetail's!
