In the last year we have been able to take a Bear, Buck, and 2 Bulls out of this tree….can you see the stand?

I think I can see your stand to the left of the large tree near where you are with your bull. If that is your stand, I would prefer to be higher up the tree so I would blend in with the branches and not be as easily scented. The spot is working for you so it must not be too big of a problem. I just prefer to be a little harder to be detected. Insurance. BTW: Nice bull.

You found it Swede…there is a meat sack hanging on the ladder. This was my brother in laws bull that he shot this year. By the time us other 2 got to him he had it mostly de-boned. This is one of our higher stands Swede :D ;) …it is right at 25 feet. Deer come into this area probably 80% of the days we have sat it. They usually come from above in the afternoon. To our knowledge we have never had anything not come into this stand because it has smelled us. I sat this stand the day before this Bull was taken. From the water and trails this stand blends in so well. When the deer come in often times they will be around for about an hour and never have a clue we are there.

I decided a week after this bull was taken to sit the stand again and there was elk already at the water in the dark when I got there

Good write up Elkhunttoo. I thought the stand was about 10-12 feet high. The close up of your stand gives a totally different perspective of the placement of the stand. I like it with green branches breaking up the hunter's outline. I often have problems getting as good of a setup as you have there. It is great that you often have deer coming around. With the gut pile there you could get a bear pretty easily.
