December 2025 WapitiTalk Photo of the Month Contest

Postby WapitiTalk1 » 12 03, 2025 •  [Post 1]

Last one of the year folks. This month’s theme is “My most memorable moment”. Let's see some pics of your most memorable moment of 2025, outdoor related of course ;)
1. One photo submission allowed per month, per member (yep, stinky MODs may enter a photo also).
2. Photo must relate to the monthly theme (or risk being disqualified).
3. Do not use photo editing software to enhance your photo. Just post the photo as it was taken with your camera, smart phone, trail cam, etc. You may have to resize some photos so they are accepted by the forum software; remember, photos can only be 800X600 pixels "MAX" for our forum.
4. You may use older photos you have on hand, but, do not submit a photo that has won a previous WT photo contest.
5. Any WT member may enter a photo they have taken or appear in.
6. Judging – WT members will vote on monthly photo submissions.
7. Contest period will normally end the last day of the month.
8. Winner must contact WapitiTalk1 via PM and provide mailing address for prize (your prize may be sent directly from a WT sponsor or from RJ).
9. Prizes will vary from month to month.
10. All monthly winners will be automatically entered into the "photo of the year" contest.

The prize for the December 2025 contest is to be determined.

Last Saturday was the opener of the Pennsylvania firearms season. It was a great day. The ladies made us proud. These are all first deer. Amy on the left got her first firearms buck. She had one archery buck under her belt prior to that. Erica on the right shot her very first deer ever in the morning, a doe. At the end of the day, she shot her second deer ever and her first buck! And that is my most memorable hunting moment of 2025.

Joe your picture, the smiling gals, brought back memories to me from a depredation hunt. My wife turned the gutting and cutting up process into a science project and autopsy for our daughters

This is from my moose hunt up north this fall. We did not kill any moose on this trip, but saw several bulls and called this particular bull into 5 yards. This was the first hour of the first day, so we thought it would be a piece of cake. Oh how wrong we were! There is something pretty incredible (and very intimidating) about being that close to an animal of that stature.

Ok Ok ,,, most memorable..
I didnt take many pictures when I should have. Maybe the best day of my hunting season was on September 15 th when my wife showed up, I made her breakfast and lunch We just ATV'ed around I pointed out the places I Typically hunt.
Just an all around niver day date up in the mountians .

Otherwise with a phone picture: Sitting on my bear bait watching the bear in real time, working the bait. A
End of June, 165 lb black boar, good hide/fur.

The only time I had the cell reception needed in that location, Fortunately for that bear I had seen a flash of a dark blonde earlier,,,
So most memorable picture Phone camera 100 yards

So the story had to be shared,,, I expect zero votes

As a condition of my vote,,, kids and puppies,,,,,, And right now Joes picture will get my vote( (older kids  )
