Wild Wapiti Custom Knives (current inventory-OCT 2025)

Listed below is the current inventory of Wild Wapiti knives. The following text will tell you about each of these eight beautiful knives, and about what the three types of spine file work that come with some of the knives. The knives are hand made in Craig, Colorado. 1st knife - Black and brown micarta handle, 3 1/2" 1095 steel blade with snake pattern file work on spine - $150.

2nd knife - Mesquite handle with black walnut spacer, 3 1/2 1095 steel blade, vine and thorn file work on spine - $225

3rd knife - Mesquite handle with ironwood spacer, brass fingerguard, 4" 80CRv2 steel blade - $225

4th knife - Black micarta handle, black walnut spacer, 4" 1095 steel blade, feather file work on spine - $225

5th knife - Cocobolo handle, 3 1/2" 80CRv2 steel blade, brass finger guard - $225

6th knife - Red oak with black and white spacer, 4" 1095 steel blade, vine and thorn file work - $225

7th knife - Antler handle with brass bolster and brass pommel, 3 1/2" steel blade - $225

8th knife – Beautiful grain mesquite handle with snake pattern file work on spine. This knife has a 4" 1095 steel blade - $150.

Three types of spine file work are shown in the last three images (feather, snake, and vine and thorn).

A correction for Knife #5. I believe the handle material is actually iron wood instead of cocobolo. My mistake! Never the less, it is a very stable and durable material. Well known in the knife making communities.
