Tragic situation. A lot of people died. My guess is it was totally preventable.

I have concluded all accidents are avoidable. The questions that need to be settled is why this one happened and what can be done to prevent another.

Definitely the fault of the helicopter.The thread should read helicopter collided with Civ aircraft .Seems to be more and more information that perhaps the helicopter pilot the was not following guidelines and the control tower was short staffed
