Leucistic Elk

I just discovered that the herd in the area I will be hunting has a fair number of leucistic (blonde/white) elk. Is there a taboo against shooting a blonde Roosevelt Elk? Like shooting a white buffalo or something? It sounds cool to me but I don’t want any bad juju.

Some states have laws against leucitic/ albino.

No law about that in CA (where I’m hunting) that I know of, and I’ve discussed these elk with DFW officials. From what they say, no one has shot a blonde yet for some unknown reason.

I do not believe in bad karma, juju or whatever. If it is legal and you get a shot opportunity, then it is up to you to decide if you should shoot one. I will venture to guess they have the same flavor as the other elk in the area.
