This thread was started several days ago, and no one has posted a response. I suppose that is because we don't know what the point is. Maybe it is to watch out for griz. when picking berries, or handguns can kill a griz., or my favorite; grizzlies don't like the taste of old farts, and they can't swallow the gas bags.

I wonder if he had the front sight filed off on his handgun. Old west gunfighters filed the sights off so the gun wouldn't get hung up when they did a fast draw. Bear hunters usually file them off so it won't hurt quite so bad when that bear shoves it up their arse!
